Biggest and best to date!

Sparkle – the nation’s premier transgender celebration was the biggest and best to date, fun was had by all!  Blessed with glorious weather and the largest number of stalls and exhibits in its history.

It was the best Sparkle that I have attended…it was an amazing weekend - Yvonne Oakley.

Packed full of ‘trans’ entertainment

The Sparkle Stage was packed full of ‘trans’ entertainment from bands, singing, comedy, and ending with the Tranny Of The Year’ competition. The Sparkle Ball provided a joyful additional celebration for the weekend.

This year’s Sparkle event will be held in Manchester in the glorious Sackville Gardens on the 9th, 10th and 11th July between 10-7ish

Oh, so what fun and frolics we enjoyed at our Hot Candys Hens and Stags party in March!

With our Ann Summers hostess, Loz, we really were rocking (and vibrating ) the place with an assortment of games, costumes and pre wedding fun!

Complete with Mystery Vicar performance, followed by a magnificent whirlwind of energy and fun from our fabulous duo The Killer Queens!

Then to end with our Best dressed beauty contest where we got you all lined up and posing in your full glory!

The scene was set!

Beginning our evening with the fast and furious knickers game ice breaker.  Later, attempting to open Opal Fruits wearing pink maids rubber gloves and a matching vibrating toy between our knees. The scene was soon set!

Dressed and turned out to their finest. I was most impressed at the effort and fun put into the cute and cheeky outfits as well as the matching humour!!!

With rails of costumes and saucy outfits from Ann Summers, the girls transformed several times from innocent hens into a variety of characters and roles!

• foxy cheerleaders,
• French maids,
• kinky Mistress’s and much more!

Spectacular performances began

With the arrival of our mystery act and compare for the evening Father Phil McCrackin. Father delivered a very well thought out speech and pre wedding ‘blessing’ to the girls.

Next,  live, our vibrant and energetic duo The Killer Queens.With a lively and energetic performance and almost more outfit changes than our hens!

We enjoyed a thoroughly fun and fantastic evening.

And our grand finale!

Not to forget our grand finale of our Best Dressed beauty contest which, hosted by Father Phil who may I add stool in his own sinful stilettos was simply the perfect end to a very fun and fabulous evening! With First prize going to Sian, and runner going to Pixie.

A big thank you

I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who came along and joined in the fun…and all I’m left to say is…Start preparing for the wedding girls!!!!

Enjoy your last night of Freedom, March 24th

As we can’t resist a party in the meantime we will be throwing a Stags and Hens party for you lovely T girls and those in the trans-community at The Catherine Wheel, Norwich on the 24th March.

We will have a couple of ‘party games’ for everyone to get involved in – I can’t say too much about these or I’ll spoil the surprise!

And a special live performance by The Killer Queens!

We’ll be organising lots more amazing events for 2010 – starting off with with our Wonderful White Wedding evening in March.

If you’ve been to a Hot Candys event before you’ll know to expect the unexpected – if you haven’t, then make sure you book your tickets and brace yourself for a fantastic evenings entertainment!

The popularity of our previous Hot Candys events has led to a surge in enquiries about our White Wedding evening planned for December.

To make it the best crossdressing event possible we’ve taken the bold decision to delay the event until March 2010 and make it a Springtime Wedding of Brides and Belles – This will then give us a chance to step the whole event up a notch or three!

The evening started with a performance by the darling Pequilia Bigtopp (appearing as as Magenta) backed by our band, The Satanic Mechanics.

In our popular “Stepping out” section we had Donna talking to us about wigs – all the dos and dont’s when buying, styling, wearing and altering them.

Donna has many years experience in wig styling and works closely with Hot Candys so if you do have any questions about this contact us.

The evening then followed with The duet and floorshow featuring Joe Ballard as Frankenfurter accompanied by Pequilia, and much audience participation.

Before the Timewarp began we had our Best Dressed Catwalk competition, which the glamorous and cheeky Nicole deservedly won – being rewarded a large round of applause and some pink fizzy!

Thanks for the massive response to our planned Wedding event – we’ve had so many enquiries we’re going to move the date so we can make it bigger and better!

Its all things bridal beautiful and innocent girls (yes innocent!), so whether you’d to like to come as the bride, the groom, the mother in law or simply just yourself, join us for an evening of White winter weddings.

Dress Hire

We will have bridal gowns for hire for the evening, but please note these will have to be reserved in advance to ensure the correct fitting

To book your bridal gown contact us and supply your bust (chest) waist and hip measurements

These will be £10.00 per dress to hire and all of this money goes directly to Cancer Research Charity, who will be lending these gowns to us for the evening.

If you were there we hope you had a great time too, and took full advantage of the wealth of crossdressing products and services that were on offer.

It was so lovely to see some familiar faces – some of whom we recognised from our appearance at sparkle in July – and great to hear that many of you have been following our progress through the website to see whats on and where we’ll be off to next!

The Miss Rose of the year competition

After a sumptuous evening meal  The Miss Rose of the year competition took place -  which myself and Christy, my trusty colleague, were honoured to be asked by Martine to sit on the Judges panel – I even got to read out the winners!

I can only hazard a guess though at how many outfits some of the girls brought as I kept bumping into the same faces over the course of the evening  who must have changed several times!! Yes girls you know who you are!!!

It was also a pleasure to meet Grayson Perry who was much fun, too in her many different outfits ranging from her sweet ‘Alice’ style look with matching dolly through to her quirky pvc number at the end of the evening!
